The Exhibit Hall at Ad:tech – The Good the Bad and the Drunk
The exhibit hall at ad:tech was HUGE!!! With so many companies fighting for attention companies really had to work hard to lure you in and get 5 minutes to pitch you on their shiny new product or service.
One of the themes? Alcohal. It was only 10am, yet the booze was flowing freely. While I don’t want to complain about free alcohal, all of the companies offered me drinks yet none of them actually told me anything about their company or gave me any literature…. Fun??? Definitely. Effective??? You tell me.
Margarita’s with Targus, Beer with some company I can’t remember and SHOOTERS with Traffic!
Other highlights of the ad:tech exhibits include (but are not limited to):
A cute little stuffed ebuddy – he was also outside walking the streets. Hysterical.
The google marshmallow booth and the sad lonely lawyer booth…

I went to Ad.tech that year. The only thing is, I don’t remember much of it while I was there
Could it have been the free flowing adult liquid refreshments? Who knows, I had a headache for 2 days woke up in the wrong room the next morning and made a friend that I wanted to forget very quickly. LOL…Ad.tech is a lot of fun. Hope to get there again soon to see what’s up!

Alcohol is seems to be effective at increasing donations at a fundraiser and auction. I’m not too sure how effective it is at a trade show. Any opinions?
